About Margin Notes
Here's what it is, and who is writing it.
Margin Notes is a personal space for writing about the subjects I follow closely: economics, sport business, politics and global affairs.
It is not a news outlet or a platform claiming to have all the answers. It is simply a place to explore ideas in more depth, connect different developments, and share a point of view when there is something worth writing about.
Some articles may focus on how sport organisations operate and grow. Others may look at economic decisions, public policy or international developments. The common thread is an interest in understanding how institutions, businesses and people make decisions.
About me
I am Adrián García-Velasco, a business and sports professional based in Madrid.
My background combines economics, business and technology, and sports management. I am interested in the business side of sport, as well as the economic and political forces that shape organisations and industries.
Margin Notes is a way to keep learning, organise my thinking and share work that may be useful or interesting to others.
Areas of focus
Three subjects, followed closely enough to have an actual opinion about them.
